The request

Create an infocommerce platform to provide a comprehensive and organised overview of Profar-branded products.

The project

We aimed to create an infocommerce site characterised by maximum customisation and a good level of automation in data and hierarchy management. We also considered possible future developments, envisioning a platform that could easily be transformed into a fully functional e-commerce site.

The insight

We chose Shopify and deactivated all e-commerce functionalities to make the site an infocommerce platform, which allows for future conversion into an e-commerce site without replatforming.

The outcome

We started by developing on a blank theme to implement fully customised graphics, efficiently managing many products and numerous subcategories — a capability not structurally supported by Shopify. This step required a strategic development approach, contributing to the optimal organisation of product information. The flexibility adopted allowed us to easily create the Profar site, ensuring the client the possibility of migrating to an e-commerce configuration in the future without the need for replatforming.
